ACE Racing develop, build and tune their own engines. All engines start out as a late model Johnson 3.0ltr V6 block that is blueprinted and ported to specifications developed over years of testing. The crank is one of few items that remains standard and untouched. Con-rods are balanced, crack tested, polished and finally shot peened for extra strength - this long process is one of the reasons that allow ACE Racing to maintain high and reliable engine speeds.

Pistons/ rings are a modified WISECO product. Heads are modified to specifications developed by ACE Racing, this includes combustion chamber shape and size as well as cooling changes. Manifold and reed cages are customised items with Boysen reeds. Carburetors are modified for optimum fuel delivery throughout the RPM range. Ignition is a low amp system suited to continuous high RPM use.
